About Gateway Campus

Gateway is a dedicated campus for young adults (16-18 year olds). Our expert staff are there to support and prepare students, helping them to achieve their goals in work and life, as they learn new skills and grow as individuals.

Gateway campus provides a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment offering 'learning programmes', and 'vocational tasters' with access to practical work rooms. The practical work rooms give students the opportunity to experience industries such as catering, hair and beauty, and art. Gateway 'learning programmes' build on existing skills and teach new skills to students, giving them the skills and knowledge needed to progress and grow by opening doors to new opportunities in work and life as they grow as individuals.

Steps to Success

  • Enrolment

Choose your vocational taster and contact the Gateway Campus to discuss your different options. You will attend an Initial Advice and Guidance interview, where you will complete pre-enrolment assessments and any enrolment paperwork.

  • Studying

Once your level has been confirmed you will be assigned a class to attend; whether this is classroom-based or online. Regular attendance is key to success!

  • Achievement

During your course you will continue to develop your English and maths skills in addition to key employability skills which will support you to achieve your goals.

  • Progression

On successful completion of your course, you can 1) progress to the next level of study in your subject, or 2) use your qualifications to access employment and/or other educational opportunities.
