On-site Open Events - what to expect

We know from talking to existing students that attending Open Events are a real eye opener and can help students make the decision whether B&FC is right for them. It's the perfect time to look around our amazing facilities and explore the fantastic range of courses we offer. You'll also meet our industry specialist tutors, get advice from career experts to ensure your course choices and career aspirations are on track and find out about all the support you can access at B&FC.

Saturday 10 September 2022 Bispham Campus and University Centre* 10.30am - 2.30pm

If you've made a last minute decision to go back to college this year, this is your chance to find out what courses and support are available. You'll even be able to enrol on the day so that you're ready to start as soon as your course begins.

Saturday 1 October 2022 Bispham Campus and University Centre* 10.30am - 2.30pm

Our main Autumn Open Event gives school students, adult learners and those looking to do a degree access to our outstanding facilities, the chance to chat to our industry-specialist tutors and find out about all the support you can access once you're here.

Wednesday 9 November 2022 Bispham Campus and University Centre* 4.30pm - 7.00pm

A green-themed Open Event. Whilst you'll still be able to access everything we normally offer, this Open Event will focus on opportunities to study courses which could ultimately lead to a career in the emergent green industries.

Wednesday 27 November 2022 Bispham Campus and University Centre* 4.30pm - 7.00pm

An Open Event especially for adults which is focussed on our 19+ learners. You'll have the chance to explore upskilling opportunities to take your career to the next level or reskilling if you want a complete change. Our experts will be on hand to guide you to the right course and help you access the financial support available to make study a real possibility.

At every event, our industry trained tutors will be available to advise you on all our subject areas and the support you can expect throughout your learning journey. At our Meet the Expert events you will have the opportunity to discuss the course you are interested with a tutor and find out what opportunities lay ahead. Ready to take your career to the next level - or learn skills for a new job? B&FC offers lots of career focused adult courses including English and Maths, Up-skilling and Re-skilling courses and degree-level courses you can study just one day a week. 

Events For Schools

Year 10 Experience Days

Monday 27 June - Friday 1 July and Friday 8 July

Our Year 10 Experience Days are a fantastic opportunity for current Year 10 students from various schools in the area to spend a day at either our Bispham or Blackpool School of Arts Campus. These visits are organised between our School Liaison Team and individual local schools. For those institutions taking part, their students will experience a carousel of subject tasters so that they can experience what we have to offer.

Year 11 Transition Day

Wednesday 6 July

All current FE applicants for the 22/23 start will be invited to attend our Year 11 Transition Day. Invitations will be sent out w/c 6 June, so keep an eye out for your invitation on your post/texts/emails (and remember to check your junk mail too). This day will allow applicants to meet their subject tutors, future classmates, and see all of the support available at College. Transition Days are specifically designed to help you prepare for College, so whether you're excited, nervous or probably a bit of both, attending this event will help you settle in much more quickly come September.
