This apprenticeship will help you become a well-rounded leader and efficiently manage a team or project by growing and developing your leadership skills through personal, team and organisational development. Throughout this course you will learn and demonstrate a range of leadership and management skills to drive, develop and successfully lead a team. Roles aligned to this apprenticeship include Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, and Shift Manager. Entry Requirements We will undertake an assessment and skills scan to make sure that this qualification is suitable for you It is preferable to have English and Maths GCSE Grade 4/C or above It is expected that the individual would have worked with an operational role within the industry to start on this apprenticeship standard Employers will set their own . Qualification ObtainedCertificate in Skills for Further Education and Employment Learning and Teaching MethodsThe programme is structured on a modular basis and each module is delivered using a range of techniques including; lectures, case studies and discussions. 1-2-1 assessment and support to evidence the behaviours, skill and knowledge elements will take place in your workplace, at mutually convenient times and dates with your assessor. You will also use a virtual learning environment (VLE) enabling you to access study resources wherever you are (via an internet connection). Expert Tutors All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice. Assessment MethodsThe delivery model is broken down into themes, whereby the units have been broken down into holistic opportunities for learners to apply the theories and models learnt in their workplace: Personal Development People Management Operational Success Project Management and Finance To successfully complete the apprenticeship, the learner needs to pass an End Point Assessment. This assessment is an independent assessment which has several stages: Knowledge test using scenarios and questions Structured, competency-based interview Portfolio: a collection of evidence from real work projects Interview: this is carried out via a face-to-face or Skype call with an assessor from the end point assessment body to verify the learner’s knowledge and competence Career Options and ProgressionOn successfully completing this apprenticeship, you can register with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership & Management as an Associate member to support your professional career development and progression.
