Hospitality Team Member - Intermediate Apprenticeship

Summary

The most important part of the role is developing fantastic ‘hospitality’ skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business and working as part of a team to ensure that every customer, whether they are eating in a restaurant, drinking cocktails in a bar, ordering room service in a hotel or attending a business conference feels welcomed and looked after. You will need to have a suitable role before you start but we can support you to find one if necessary. ,

Where can this subject lead?

Career progression

This apprenticeship will support you to progress into the following roles:

•    Bar Supervisor
•    Assistant Housekeeper
•    Senior Chef Production Cook
•    Assistant Receptionist

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship you can progress onto a level 3 Hospitlaity Supervisor or Senior Chef Production Cooking.

What will I learn?

Industry placement, field trips and guest speakers

You will need to be employed full-time with a relevant contract of employment.

Your employer will also need to agree to our Skills Coach and Specialist Practitioner being able to visit you at your place of work.

The focus of this apprenticeship is to develop your expertise in areas such as customer care, service etiquette, health and safety, legislation and practical hospitality in your chosen area.

At the end of your apprenticeship, you will need to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and behaviours across the above areas via the following assessments:

•    90 minute on demand test
•    2 hour practical observation
•    Business Project
