This qualification (NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent) is delivered as a 3 week programme, with 3 hours a week college attendance, term time only.
The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding, including online safety.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care.
This qualification will not only support employment opportunities, but also the possibility of progressing on to the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges.
This course is ideal for those already working or volunteering in school, to support their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

No previous training or experience is required for this programme but you must be at least 19.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend college for a 3 hour session, weekly (term-time only) for 3 weeks.
Within these sessions there will be tutor delivery, question and answer, discussion, observation, group work tasks and individual tasks.
It is expected that you will complete a minimum of 3 hours independent study, each week, outside of the class to complete your assignments.
