Martin Long Independent Member Chair of the Blackpool Business Leadership Group Born and educated in Blackpool before studying Law at Leeds University, Martin has worked as a solicitor on the Fylde coast for most of his career. A partner and former chairman of Napthens, one of the largest firms of solicitors in the North West, Martin is based at its Blackpool and Fylde office, specialises in commercial property and business development, and has been recommended by the legal industry guide ‘The Legal 500’. Martin is passionate about the regeneration of his home town and takes a leading role in the local business community. He chairs the Blackpool Business Leadership Group, is a non executive member of the Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Economic Prosperity Board, and a member of the Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network Steering Group. Martin is also regional chairman of the national charity Wooden Spoon, and a trustee of the Fylde Rugby Community Foundation. Martin is a keen sports fan and plays squash and golf.
