Hospitality supervisors work across a wide variety of businesses including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers.
They provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts. They typically work under pressure delivering fantastic customer service and motivating a team is essential to their role.
The majority of supervisors’ skills and knowledge are the same but supervisors may specialise in specific functions or work across a variety of functions which reflect the multi-functional nature of the industry.
You will need to have a suitable role before you start but we can support you to find one if necessary.
These vary from employer to employer. The typical requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or higher.
You will also have a gained a relevant level 2 Apprenticeship in hospitality or similar.
Teaching and Learning Methods
Your apprenticeship is delivered entirely in the workplace, with teaching delivered through online resources and on a 1-2-1 basis by your skills coach and employer.

All staff involved in the delivery of any courses within the College are approved to teach and/or assess the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering and/or assessing a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
