Course Overview

The FdA and BA(Hons) Top-up in Business and Financial Management programmes are aimed at students with an intended career in the arena of business and finance. This provides a solid basis for successful career planning and can also provide a stepping stone to future postgraduate studies in the subject area. These degrees will develop the technical knowledge and skills of managers/leaders and prospective managers/leaders to prepare them for employment in the role of business and finance.

You will need to have achieved a minimum of a pass in B&FC’s Foundation Degree in Business and Financial Management.

Our teaching and learning methods are designed to support you to become a self-starter and lifelong learner, with a high degree of employability. They range from lectures and seminars to problem-based learning, webinars and other interactive activities.

We will encourage you to read widely around your subject area, which will also help you to develop the independent research and study skills required at this level. Our expert tutors will provide you with appropriate guidance and support throughout.

Timetabled sessions total 6 hours a week and we will expect you to devote an additional 10 hours a week to independent study.
