You don’t need to have previous experience to do this course but you must be at least 18 (and preferably have no criminal convictions).
We will provide you with full guidance and clarification at enrolment, when we will also assess your maths and English skills to ensure they are at entry level 3. If not, you will need to work towards achieving this level.

Our expert tutors understand that everyone learns in different ways so they use a range of teaching methods to enable everyone to achieve their potential. A key method used is demonstration, which allows you to observe the practical application of dealing skills before having a go yourself.
The course combines group work, practical and role play sessions, and dedicated self-study periods. You will also have an opportunity to apply your new skills with real customers during our fun casino events. Guest speakers from within the industry give you real insight into what this fascinating career involves.
Online development is a key element of this course and will involve you using our virtual learning environment, Moodle, for independent study outside of College. We will also support you in using a range of online apps.
Timetabled hours total at least 13.5 hours each week and you should expect to spend around 0.75 hours a week on independent study. We will confirm exact amounts to you at enrolment.
If you are aged 18, depending on your qualifications you might need to undertake a work placement for up to an hour each week. Again, we will discuss and confirm this with you when you come to enrol
