The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering cover all aspects of food hygiene and safety which enable you to identify problem areas and to recommend solutions.

The qualification is delivered by industry experts which will provide you with knowledge of the parameters of basic food safety practices which are relevant to the catering industry. Achievement of the qualification at level 2 will enable you to identify how to make changes to catering practices to improve the safety of the catering service.

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a one-day, classroom-based course. the course is delivered utilising a range of learning and teaching methods including:

  • Tutor led presentations highlighting key areas of food safety legislation.
  • Interactive quizzes to assess your knowledge and understanding of hygienic practice with the food industry.
  • Group work presenting information including debating issues and resolutions around food safety.

On the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering course you will cover a range of topic including:
