You will learn how to straighten and lift the brow hairs using a chemical solution, which allows the hairs to have more flexibility to move them into your desired shape. This technique helps to disguise any gaps in the brows, creating a fuller looking brow.

This is a commercial course, the fees for which are displayed above and payable on booking your place.
Extra costs and equipment
You will be required to wear a professional beauty therapy uniform for this one day course. If you are new to the industry and so do not have a uniform, please do not worry. If this is the case then please wear plain black trousers, a plain black short sleeved top and flat black shoes. The College will provide the towels, equipment and products required to complete this programme.
On completion of this Blackpool and The Fylde College Certificate, you will need to liaise with your insurance company in relation to your cover.

How You’ll Learn
You will cover the following topics:
- Health and Safety considerations (including patch testing guidance)
- Preparation of the work area
- Products, tools and equipment required to carry out the service
- Step by step technique to achieve optimum results
- Aftercare and home care advice
Varied teaching methods to develop high level learning skills will be used in the session. The one day practical session will be delivered in a newly refurbished realistic working environment.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver.
The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
How You'll Be Assessed
There are no formal assessments within this session but your tutor will be observing your practical work throughout the day. You will need to demonstrate your practical skills whilst ensuring that you are following the specific health and safety within the salon environment to ensure safety and competence.
