Health and Social Science (Pre Access) - Level 2
Course Code: TA1FE20
If you are aged 19 or above and would like to study a university-level course in health and social care but you don’t have the qualifications you need, then the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care Professions could be for you. The one-year course equips you to enrol on the Access to Higher Education Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Professions. With just a year of additional study, you could then be eligible to progress to a university-level course to study for one of a range of health-related professions: nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, radiography, occupational therapy, paramedic practitioner, and operating theatre practitioner.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. You will however need to undertake literacy and numeracy assessments and if you don't already have GCSE Maths and English you will study these qualifications alongside this course.
Prior to starting, you will also need to complete a written assessment and meet informally with the Course Tutor.
