Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
Our flexible approach to tuition means you can select the method that suits you and your employer best. Choose from one-to-one workplace sessions, small off-site group sessions (usually 3 hours in duration every 2 to 3 weeks) or a combination of the two.
Since this is a level 5 qualification, we will expect you to engage in weekly independent research and study to develop your underpinning knowledge.
This is a competency-based qualification, with assessment occurring in the workplace as you undertake your everyday role. The evidence must reflect the policies and procedures of your workplace as informed by current legislation, the relevant codes of conduct and service standards for the sector.
At the start of your course, we will assign you an assessor, who will undertake observations of your management practices and engage you in professional discussions surrounding your management and leadership skills.
Approximately every 3 weeks you will need to submit a piece of work. You will also have to conduct a small-scale research project, relevant to your role and the sector you work in.
