Advance your career in the health or social care sector by learning the principles of care planning. This 8-week course delivers the skills and knowledge needed to develop and implement personalised care plans for children and adults. You will also discover techniques for reviewing these plans to ensure their continued effectiveness. Topics cover working with individuals to identify and accommodate their unique care preferences with an emphasis on promoting health and wellbeing. Whether you’re already employed in a related role or you’re at the start of your career, this course provides a nationally-recognised level 2 qualification that will support your personal and professional development.
No previous training or experience is required to do this course however you will ideally be aged 19 or over.
Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
The course requires you to attend a 3-hour session at College each week for 8 for weeks, with the following choice of times:
Friday 9.45am-12.45pm (starts 29/1/18)
Monday 6-9pm (starts 9/4/18)
The sessions will involve group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided. When you start the course, we will assign you a group tutor who will support you in collating your written evidence.

The approval process ensures that staff delivering and/or assessing a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
