Advance your career in the health or social care sector by developing skills in end-of-life care. This one-day course explores themes such as managing pain and discomfort, the impact of dementia, time of death, and the loss and grief process to deliver specialist knowledge and understanding in this important area of practice. Whether you are at the start of your health or social care career or you are already a qualified professional, this industry-recognised course will develop your skill set and underpin your personal and professional development. It will equip you to access specialist employment opportunities in this field and/or progress to higher level study.
No previous training or experience is required to do this course however you will ideally be aged 19 or over.

This one-day course is available on the following dates:
- Friday 23 February 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 23 March 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 27 April 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 18 May 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
The session will involve group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided.
You will then have a period of six weeks to produce a small portfolio of work that demonstrates your knowledge of all of the themes covered.
