Course Overview

This course aims to develop your maths skills to help with things like managing money or helping children with homework and even to progress at work. It provides a nationally-recognised qualification delivered through Blended Learning – a mixture of mostly online learning and occasional face-to-face teaching methods. The benefits are obvious – learning at a time, pace and place that suits you.

To do this course you will need to be over 19 and committed to developing your maths skills. It is equally suited to those who are employed as to those who are unemployed.

Teaching and Learning Methods

The majority of teaching is delivered via a digital platform, with some face-to-face meetings being scheduled and others being made available as necessary.

Blended learning consists of instructor-delivered content, e-learning, webinars, conference calls, live or online sessions with instructors, and other media and events, for example, bespoke online learning programmes, Facebook, email, chat rooms, blogs, podcasting, YouTube and Skype.

There are no fixed classroom hours. Optional workshops are provided if you require additional support; otherwise you will complete all your work independently through online learning tools.
