What You'll Learn

The IMI accreditation process for Senior Panel will confirm your ability to:

  • Repair and replace vehicle body parts
  • Return vehicle alignment to manufacturer specification
  • Correct bodyshell and structural faults
  • Work safely and professionally to BS10125 requirements and BSI standards

This accreditation includes the AOM030 welded panel section. This covers MAG, MIG, braze, bond and rivet techniques, all of which are used in modern automotive engineering and automotive technology roles.

How You'll Learn

This is an assessment rather than a training course and is the chance to demonstrate your existing skills. You will, however, have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the equipment and prepare for the practical tasks before you are observed doing them.

Expert tutors

Our tutors are IMI-approved trainers and experienced automotive professionals with years of industry knowledge. They bring real workshop experience to every session and will guide you through both the practical and theory parts of any course and/or assessment.

How You'll Be Assessed

The assessment combines practical tests with theory to ensure you have both the technical skills and underpinning knowledge to work effectively and safely as a vehicle technician.
