Painting and Decorating - Level 3

The Level 3 Painting and Decorating allows you to develop specialist higher-level skills in your chosen craft area. The course explores modern painting and decorating techniques through a combination of practical and theory work, preparing you to start work straight away, advance in your current role or progress to a higher-level qualification.
You will need to have successfully completed the Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating or have relevant experience, which our curriculum staff will determine at interview.
Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
Expert tutors use a variety of teaching methods to support you in developing relevant skills and an in-depth understanding of safe working practices. A typical week consists of 12.5 hours' timetabled time, 70% of which is practical and 30% theory. Practical sessions take place in our newly extended construction skills centre, with the theory side being taught in class.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
