Sam has worked in adult health and social care for nearly 20 years, the last nine of which have been spent in further education (FE) at B&FC.
Prior to joining B&FC, Sam worked in various health and social care settings, including residential care homes and nursing homes. Within those settings, Sam acquired experience of working with adults with a diversity of mental health, medical health and social care needs.
My expertise is in adult health and social care, and my role allows me to access a range of health and social care settings, where I can observe and share good practice with students to improve their development.

I have 20 years’ experience of working with adults who have a diversity of mental health, medical health and social care needs. Within that time, I have developed excellent links within the health and social care sector.
I access a wide variety of health and social care settings to support and share good practice with students and employers, and also to keep my own skills current.
I have worked within Society, Health and Childhood since 2007 and I just love the atmosphere of the FE environment. We are an excellent, supportive and hardworking team, who are dedicating to improving opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their backgrounds.
