Programme Leader – Professional Construction
Rosalind has ten years’ experience as Teacher and Progress Tutor and five years’ experience as a Senior tutor for TLA.
Renowned for having excellent rapport with her students, she currently overseas the development of Professional courses within construction working with local employers and contractors in industry to bring industry placement opportunities for her students.
Rosalind has lead a variety local community projects and key events within the Construction school.
Rosalind is approachable, supportive and efficient in her approaches with a keen eye for detail along with strengths in planning, time management, coordinating and delivering of courses.
Her experience includes work with Special Educational Needs, School Links, Further Education and Higher Education students with varying abilities.
Rosalind organises enrichment activities, guest speaker visits, fund raising events as well as educational trips which include site visits and career events. Rosalind is also an experienced Painter & Decorator with skills in Specialist Decorative finishes and her own business for 3 years in design and body art.

As a painter and decorator by trade I have worked on the restoration of interiors and exteriors of government buildings and private homes across the North West.
My skills consist of the preparation of all surfaces, application of all wall hangings, specialist decorative effects such as marbling and rag rolling, experience and knowledge of water based and oil based paint products, correct use of access equipment such as scaffolding and ladders and first aid training.
Other specialities include mural art work using mixed medium in spaces ranging from churches to children’s bedrooms.
Further to this I am an artist and have 3 years’ experience as a business owner.
Professional activities include networking with local employers and career events.
Further reading and research to keep up to date with industry standards.
I have also undertaken a variety of CPD activities each year.
I enjoy leading creative youth work, and organising events for the local community. I project managed a stage production for a local urban dance school in 2019.
As a former student at B&FC I know through experience that the college is an excellent establishment where the staff, facilities and college community is exceptional.
