Having worked in the field of health and social care from a very young age, Matt has been immersed in the culture of care for much of his life.
His experiences led to him completing a health-related degree, in the hope that he would have an opportunity to pass on his expertise to others in the field, to ultimately improve practice.
Matt now brings the same ethos to his lectures.

I have been working in the field of health and social care for 16 years, employed in various guises predominantly in the area of mental health and learning disabilities.
I have a passion for high standards of care and meeting the holistic needs of the people that we meet in practice. I am keen to bring my substantial experience into the workroom in the hope that it can enhance learning.
As a new member of the team I have been keen to get involved in research and working with other members of the faculty to further the learning of all.
Blackpool and The Fylde College is an important part of the community and driving the quality of care that people in the area receive. Since working with the team I have been made to feel very welcome and that my skills matter.
