I'm a lecturer on the Operations Departmental Manager - Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship, and Management and Leadership - Level 5 course.

I consistently liaise with and deliver to a wide range of professionals within industry in order to provide the best service and outcome for all those studying on the course.

My role requires me to support the departmental curriculum manager and the allocated customer relations manager in presenting to and networking with organisations and their employees to secure further enrolment onto this successful provision within higher education.

Organisations have included Blackpool Council, Blackpool Coastal Housing, Lancashire Constabulary, Barnardo’s and Wigan Council.

The role has enabled me to effectively forge strong professional links with a wide range of employers within the local area. I am also keen to develop the Leadership & Management commercial provision.

I have worked previously for a number of years at Barclays Bank and have an excellent knowledge of business and commercial needs and models within the private sector.

A long and varied career at Barclays Bank gave me a valuable insight into both the private sector and business world.

I have been fortunate enough to take this expertise and knowledge and apply it within education to develop and upskill individuals with improved employability skills and working practices.

Previous roles at Blackpool and the Fylde College have included Learning Mentor, Employability Coach, Functional Skills Tutor and Co-Ordinator of the Traineeship Programme.

I undertake Continuous Professional Development in the areas of business, employability and education which enable me to constantly deliver a high level of current and relevant knowledge.
