Level 2 Plastering
Prior to entering the world of education, I ran my own Painting and Decorating business, which included carrying out a variety of trade activities, but I always wanted to learn the art of plastering so I enrolled on a course at B&FC.
Whilst running my business I have worked on both private homes and overseeing of the refurbishment of listed buildings. I have recently worked on a restoration project on St Chads Church in Poulton–Le-Fylde and the Ormond Building in Manchester as part of my days back in Industry.
I have significant experience of the preparation of background surfaces, application of plastering materials and the producing and repairing of fibrous moulds.
I am keen to maintain my professional development and undertake regular CPD activities within college and with external organisations to upskill on new standards, technology, materials and techniques used within the Construction Industry.
A course provided by the college will help you develop and gain the skills and knowledge required to help you progress. Staff are experts in their area and give support and encouragement to students of all abilities to achieve their goals.
Never give up on your dreams, with commitment and determination you will reach your true potential.
