Biography

Andy has authored numerous papers across a range of academic journals and is also a peer reviewer for several journals relating to technology and education. He has delivered keynote speeches and presented his work at academic conferences right across Europe and as far afield as Vancouver, Canada.

Andy has supervised over 100 BSc (Hons) dissertation students, several of whom have presented their work at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research and the World Congress of Undergraduate Research. At the International Undergraduate Awards 2016 one was judged the top business dissertation in the whole of Europe.

Industry Background

For the past 17 years, I have juggled multiple roles (including software project manager of my own games company). I helped design and develop one the world’s first massively multiplayer persistent worlds. I have also won several awards for game design.

Why B&FC?

Too many universities are lost in research and do not focus strongly enough on teaching and relating the students’ understanding to the workplace. This is something B&FC does very well.
