Alison Burns

Biography

Alison has enjoyed a varied performance career, touring throughout Europe and Asia as a vocalist and comedienne.

During her 20-year career, Alison has also participated in TV work, session singing, acting and theatre-making. Her TV work has included filming for Sky and working as a professional recording artist at Abbey Road Studios. She also worked extensively with TV producer Ernest Maxim, who famously produced sketches for Morecambe and Wise.

Alison’s directorial credits include Sweet Charity at The Grand Theatre, Blackpool, Earthquakes in London by Mike Bartlett, Witches of Eastwick at the Contact Theatre, Manchester, and most recently Bat Boy: The Musical at Viva, Blackpool.

I have been a self-employed performer for twenty years.

Periodically throughout the year I spend time within industry to keep my knowledge and skills current. I also regularly attend live theatre and workshops.
