Having acquired all the necessary hands-on skills during their apprenticeship, hair and beauty apprentices start with routine procedures such as cut and blowdrys, facials and manicures before progressing into specialist roles such as colour technician, barber or skincare expert. With experience and further training, it's possible to move into more senior roles such as senior stylist or salon manager where you might also have responsibility for overseeing more junior colleagues.
