Start your career

Whether you’re leaving school/college or you haven’t studied in a while and want to get back into education, B&FC has a programme to help you meet your future career goals.

With the Teaching Excellence Framework’s highest rating (gold), we consistently deliver outstanding teaching, learning and results for our higher education provision. We are also the highest performing large general further education college in England for the third year running1.

Advance your career with the B&FC Advantage

A degree-level qualification can make you more productive in your current role and equip you to progress to more senior and better-paid positions.

With the B&FC Advantage, you gain access to degrees awarded by Lancaster University (a UK top 10 university2), employer-driven content, small study groups, expert tutors, 1-2-1 support, no upfront costs and up to £500 towards the cost of study.

If you don’t yet meet our entry criteria, don’t worry. Our Access to HE programmes span a range of career areas to prepare you for degree-level study in just 12 months.

A different way to learn

Whether you’re at the start or part-way through your career, a higher or degree apprenticeship allows you to combine skilled on-the-job training with higher-level study. You’ll have access to the same support as our other degree students but you’ll be earning a full-time wage and you won’t have to pay any fees.

With our next major intake starting this September the route to achieving your dream career could start sooner than you think.
