DWP and B&FC T Level Partnership Doubles Down on Success Published on 29/05/2025 by ECOOK News Blackpool and The Fylde College’s T Level collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) continues to thrive – with student numbers now set to double.B&FC colleagues Gill Hellewell, Annie Kerfoot and Caroline Wareing visited DWP Digital’s Peel Park headquarters last Friday to mark the end of 45-day placements for the second cohort of Business Management and Administration T Level students.Students Ryan Gerrard, Olivia Buckley, Daniel Skelton, Peter Horton, Amy Depledge and Jacob Skelton delivered confident presentations on their experience and how their skills have grown – joined by two former B&FC students now working as DWP apprentices.The partnership’s strength was further underlined as DWP issued placement offers for 12 students in the next cohort – up from six previously – who will begin in September.Amy Veitch, DWP’s Senior Digital Practice Support Manager, said: “The students have been on a brilliant journey developing themselves personally and professionally. They have also produced high quality work and been key to many project successes. This is not only an amazing opportunity for young people at such a pivotal point in their career, but it supports exactly what the DWP is all about….It has been an absolute pleasure to collaborate with these talented superstars!”The ongoing success signals a shared commitment to giving young people the chance to thrive in real working environments and a strong vote of confidence in the value of T Levels.
