Ellie’s T level opens door to a career in real estate

Blackpool and The Fylde College student Ellie France has gone straight from completing her T Level into a degree apprenticeship in real estate, showing how the qualification can provide a direct route into an exciting professional career.

Ellie, who previously attended St Aidan’s, studied Business Management and Administration at B&FC and chose a T Level rather than A Levels because of the opportunity to gain substantial workplace experience alongside her studies.

It was a great experience, and I am so happy that I did that because I now have a government organisation, Department for Work and Pensions, on my CV.”

Her industry placement with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) gave her the chance to work alongside colleagues on real projects, some of which went on to be used by the organisation.

Ellie said: “It was a great experience, and I am so happy that I did that because I now have a government organisation, Department for Work and Pensions, on my CV.”

Just days after completing her course, Ellie began a degree apprenticeship with Tiger Sales and Lettings, working as a real estate agent while studying towards her degree. She had also been accepted onto a university course but decided the degree apprenticeship was the right opportunity to start building her career straight away, and it was the opportunity to gain work experience while studying which appealed to her.

She added: “I wanted to get straight into it. It was just the perfect opportunity at the perfect time.”

Ellie had already set her sights on a career in property, so being able to combine a job in the sector with degree-level study gives her the best of both worlds.

And Ellie is already thinking big about where her career could eventually take her and her long-term ambition is to work in real estate in Dubai.
