He was brilliant’.”Knott End-on-Sea student Andrew is aiming to continue his teaching trajectory after earning a distinction in his T Level Early Years Education qualification.Wanting to follow in the footsteps of an inspirational teacher, Andrew is staying on at Blackpool and The Fylde College to embark on a Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning Support at the College’s University Centre.Andrew said: “I have always wanted to be a teacher. I want my students to grow up and say ‘Do you remember Mr Ralph? He was brilliant’. If I can make that impact on one child, then I’ll have succeeded.”Andrew opted to study a T Level after previously struggling with the heavy emphasis on classroom-based learning and exams in his GCSEs.He continued: “I found GCSEs challenging as I found it difficult to see how the theory I was learning would work in practice. That’s why T levels are the perfect choice for me.
