Student Case Study: Aaron Thomas

“I couldn’t have made a better decision or picked a better place to study. It’s been amazing.”

Another student who was also delighted with their T level result was Aaron Thomas who achieved a distinction in Business Management and Administration.

Like many T level students, Aaron chose this qualification because of the opportunity it gave him to spend time in industry gaining valuable work experience. Aaron did his extended placement at Wyre Borough Council and had the opportunity to work across several different departments which gave him an insight into the Council’s wide ranging activities from policy-making and election management to legal work and procurement. He clearly made a fantastic impression there as the Council had no hesitation in offering him some paid temporary work following the completion of his placement. They also committed to taking on more B&FC T level students next year so Aaron has blazed a path not just for himself but for future students too.

Aaron has now secured a degree apprenticeship in the finance department of a multinational company and will shortly be moving to Wales. “It’s exciting and a little bit scary all at the same time, but I can’t wait to start there and the company has been absolutely brilliant in helping me relocate. None of this would have been possible had I not followed this path and chosen this qualification. I couldn’t have made a better decision or picked a better place to study. It’s been amazing.”
