Published on 03/07/2024 by ECOOK General Ofsted inspection results are in, and the teacher training at B&FC has been rated as ‘good’ across all three categories: overall effectiveness, the quality of education, and leadership and management.This is a significant achievement and speaks volumes about the quality of training provided at the college.Inspectors highlighted that trainees at B&FC "develop the knowledge and skills they need to become successful teachers." The comprehensive support from an experienced Initial Teacher Education (ITE) team and specialist mentors is highly valued by the trainees, making a positive impact on their professional growth.“Trainees are proud to enter the teaching profession and make a positive difference in the lives of their learners,” the report stated. This sense of pride and commitment is a testament to the effective training environment fostered at B&FC.The report also noted that trainees learn to adapt their teaching methods to meet the needs of learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities through visits to specialist provision. This inclusive approach ensures that all students receive the attention and support they need to succeed.Additionally, trainees are mindful of the high levels of social disadvantage in the local area and the barriers many learners face.
