B&FC welcomes new Chair Published on 04/02/2022 by SGLAS General news press_releases Blackpool and The Fylde College is delighted to welcome Steve Fogg as the new Chair of its Corporation Board.Steve, a former Managing Director with BAE Systems, brings extensive experience to the role in no small part due to his ongoing tenure as Chair of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has a long association with the Fylde Coast and his commitment to the area is clearly demonstrated by his involved in numerous business organisations including work for the Pride of Place Board for Blackpool and chairing both the Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership.Steve first joined the B&FC Board in January 2021 and now, just over a year later, has taken up the role as Chair, replacing Alan Cavill, Director of Communication and Regeneration with Blackpool Council, whose term of office came to an end after more than 14 years of dedicated service to the College.Speaking of his appointment, Steve says: “I am delighted to have taken up the post as Chair of B&FC. Each year, around 12,500 students choose to study with B&FC and 1800 employer partners choose work with us which means we have a real impact on the lives of those who live locally, providing inspirational learning to create outstanding futures.“I would like to thank Alan for his many years of service to B&FC.
