Congratulations to Fleetwood High School who clinched first place, and £10,000 for their STEM club, in this year's Young Engineers competition.
The tough challenge was to design and build a trebuchet machine with limited materials and use it to catapult a bean bag towards a target.
Ten teams spent the day testing their skills in the College's new Advanced Technology Centre, with encouragement from dignitaries, including the Mayors of Fylde and Wyre.
In a hard-fought contest, Fleetwood built up an impressive points score of 65 to take the spoils.
The competition is an annual event organised by the Blackpool Gazette and sponsored by Centrica Energy and Cuadrilla.
