Matthew Worthington, who’s studying Mechanical Engineering at B&FC's University Centre, designed and manufactured the memorials with support from his employer, Chorley-based NIS Ltd.
Matthew was presented with Blackpool and The Fylde College’s DegreePlus Social Responsibility Award in recognition of his work.
He said: "This project allows the future generation to never forget the past, providing a lasting memory of soldiers who are sadly no longer with us.”
St Wilfrid's RC Primary School in Longridge was the first school to receive one of Matthew’s memorials.
As a result of his work with the school, Matthew has been asked to talk to pupils at a STEM event.
"This gives me a platform to teach an even younger generation of potential engineers," said Matthew.
