Santa will be coming early to Blackpool and The Fylde College - and bringing with him the prospect of a new career in a variety of exciting industries.

The B&FC Festive Fair will be held on Saturday 26 November from 11am to 3pm at the University Centre on Park Road, Blackpool.

The event will include a Christmas market, an ice-skating rink, cupcake-decorating, festive gifts and food and drink stalls, seasonal family photos, face-painting and entertainment - as well as the chance to meet Father Christmas himself.

And best of all, there will be the opportunity for people to look around the College and speak to tutors and advisers about what B&FC can offer to launch them onto their perfect career path.

Andy Iredale, Director of Customer Engagement at B&FC, said:

“Whether you dream of a career making mince pies and Christmas dinners, creating the perfect hair styles for the festive party season or designing and building a new rocket-powered sleigh to transport Santa around the globe, at B&FC we can teach you the skills to make your wishes come true.

“So why not come along to our Festive Fair and take a look at our leading-edge facilities and have a chat with one of our tutors or advisers to see what exciting career choices could be out there for you.

“As the time for New Year’s resolutions approaches, now could be just the chance to make that decision to go back to college to learn new skills which could lead to jobs in industries as diverse as nursing, aerospace engineering, catering or in hair and beauty.”

The Festive Fair will also see competitions and exclusive College hair & beauty, restaurant and gym offers on offer throughout the day.
