Teams led by Yasmin Brett, Liv Leek, JC Campbell, Charlie Douglas and Kieran Smith were given the charity challenge which resulted in a much-needed donation as temperatures fall entering autumn.
It wasn't only a great gesture - the students also benefited from the project by learning important communication, initiative, team bonding and leadership skills.
Public Services tutor Glenn Richards said: "Students made a really big effort to pull together a huge haul of food and clothing that will help many people during the coming weeks.
"It's been so successful that we're planning on rolling out this effort for a bumper donation drive across the College closer to Christmas."
