If you’re keen to study higher education but don’t have the necessary qualifications or experience, don’t worry. In just 12 months, our Access to Higher Education (HE) programme will get you ready for degree-level study.
In Blackpool, student accommodation ranges from guest houses and self-catering flats to privately owned house shares. Our links with landlords/ladies are long established and most accommodation is located within easy reach of the College.
With small class sizes, comprehensive student support, timetabling to fit around work and other commitments, experience counting as well as formal qualifications and lots of support from industry specialists, there’s nothing to stop you from achieving your dream career.

B&FC has a long tradition of promoting and building capacity for research and scholarship in our academic community. We aim to provide both staff and students the opportunity to engage in research led, research, tutored, research oriented and research based curriculum.

Information and advice is available regarding examination timetables, special considerations, access to scripts, certificates and results, exam rules and regulations and awarding body information.
Featuring a mix of computer, group work and quiet study areas, our Learning Resource Centres (The Loops) will play an important part in your studies. Here you can access a wide range of physical and online resources such as eBooks and full text journal databases.
B&FC believes that student success is the fundamental goal of the College. We believe that effective Learning and Teaching are vital to a high quality student experience and critical to student success.
The National Student Survey (NSS) gives final-year undergraduates the chance to have their say on their university experience. It will open again in early 2020.
When you sign up for a course at B&FC you will be asked to sign a statement of consent to confirm that you understand and agree to our terms and conditions.
Forms and guidance for students are available to download including Personal Mitigating Circumstances, Interruption of Study and Academic Appeals, along with information on how to request changes to your programme of study, including withdrawal, transfer and time out.

We support and provide ways for our alumni and friends to keep up to date with the B&FC community.
The graduation ceremony is always an enjoyable event. To make sure everything goes smoothly we’ve put together a checklist of things to be aware of and action before the event takes place.
This national survey captures information about the activities and perspectives of graduates 15 months after they finish their studies. All graduates who completed a course will be asked to take part in the survey, in order to help current and future students gain an insight into career destinations and development.
