B&FC offers plenty of services to help you study for success at B&FC.
Learning support – Before you start your studies take advantage of our Flying Start summer school, designed to get you ready for higher education. Our Higher Education Learning Support Team can provide one-to-one advice about any specialist support requirements you may have, including applying for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). The team can also help you to develop your study and/or IT skills.
Learning resources - The Learning Resources and IT Services team are here to support you during your time at B&FC. This includes a welcome tour when you start your course, help with sourcing relevant research materials, one-to-one IT/research help sessions and ongoing support with ICT issues.
Students’ Union - The Students’ Union (SU) at B&FC is made up of students who you elect to represent your views on a range of issues related to College life. The SU also links in to the National Union of Students (NUS) , which means you’re represented nationally and have access to fantastic discounts through the NUS Extra Card.
Help with careers - Whether you’ve already embarked on your chosen career path, or you haven’t yet decided which route is for you, we can help you to move closer to your dream career. Our experienced careers advisers can support you with everything from confidence-building to researching relevant employers.
Financial support - Find out more about our tuition fees for full- and part-time courses, including tuition fee loans and typical monthly repayments. You might also be eligible for other sources of funding, including the B&FC Advantage Bursary, which provides up to £500 towards the cost of study.
