This Apprenticeship standard is suitable for those looking to join the Early Years Workforce (0 – 5 years) and also those already working in the sector that need a licence to practice.
This Apprenticeship standards supports the development of a highly qualified, well skilled workforce within the Early Years sector, and ensures that children and young people accessing services in England gain the best possible care and support.
We will undertake an assessment and skills scan to make sure that this qualification is suitable for you. You will need to be at least 16 years old and undergo and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Individual employers will determine their own entry requirements.
Teaching and Learning Methods
A variety of teaching methods including, one to one support in the work place. Your skills coach will visit you monthly within your workplace with set tasks planned.
Discussions, reflected accounts and practical observations will cover the majority of assessments during the course.
You will also be supported by your employer to contribute to various 20% off the job training activities such as shadowing and mentoring and additional online training.

All staff involved in the delivery of any courses within the College are approved to teach and/or assess the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering and/or assessing a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
