Course Overview

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

It has three pathways:

  • Generic Health and Social Care
  • Dementia
  • Learning Disability

Entry Requirements

Learner must be at least 16 years to complete this apprenticeship.  You may be required to complete a DBS screening as you will be working with vulnerable people as an industry requirement. You will also be expected to achieve upon completion of the qualification a Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths and English.

All staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeships within the College are approved to train and support the students in the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
