This industry-recognised course provides the knowledge, skills and experience needed to build a successful career in customer service. You will cover all aspects of providing excellent customer service, exploring topics such as understanding customers, resolving problems, using social media to deliver customer service and meeting aftersales needs. You will also develop strong communication skills and a firm grounding in the principles that underpin outstanding customer care. There is a strong emphasis on gaining the transferable skills and confidence needed to progress within employment and/or to higher-level study.
There are no particular entry requirements for this apprenticeship. However, an employer will expect you to be sociable and adaptable, have good communication skills, have empathy and understanding for customers, and always strive to go the extra mile.
Modules and Assessment
Teaching and Learning Methods
All learning takes place in the workplace - there is no requirement to attend College.
We use a variety of teaching methods to allow you to develop high level sector-specific skills. Your practical skills and competency will be supported and assessed by our assessor. The functional skills element of this qualification is delivered by specialist teachers, who will provide support either at College or in the workplace.
Specialist learning support is also available if needed.

All staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeships within the College are approved to train and support the students in the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
