This Apprenticeship offers a combination of qualifications that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need for styling both hair and facial hair. Once qualified, many Apprentices go on to run their own successful salons or work in a mobile capacity. Meanwhile, others use their skills in other areas such as behind the scenes in film and television.
All Apprenticeships require an initial assessment, interview and employment in the industry. At Level 2 you’ll need four GCSEs at grade 3 (formerly D) or above including English and maths, or the willingness to work towards these as part of your Programme.
You will need to have good people, dexterity and communication skills as well as a desire to work professionally with the general public.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will develop your Knowledge, skills and behaviours in the workplace, with regular visits from your Skills Coach.
Teaching and learning methods includes:
• One to one support in the work place.
• Reflected accounts
• Practical observations will cover the majority of assessments during the course

All staff involved in the delivery of any courses within the College are approved to teach and/or assess the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering and/or assessing a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
