With this Apprenticeship, you will be gaining the skills and experience needed by industry and for higher level study, as well as Building the foundations for a successful career in Engineering.
You will learn on the job, working on your own and/or as part of a team, with ongoing support from your own personal skills coach and will also attend college one day per week. The apprenticeship usually takes two years to complete. You will need to have a suitable role before you start but we can support you to find one if necessary.
These vary from employer to employer. The typical requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or higher.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend college one day per week to learn the knowledge and practical aspects. Teaching and Assessment will also be delivered through online resources and on a 1-2-1 basis by your skills coach and employer.

All staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeships within the College are approved to train and support the students in the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
