Course Overview
Develop the experience, knowledge and skills for a career as a Bricklayer with this apprenticeship. Bricklayers lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures eg chimney stacks. They might also refurbish brickwork and masonry on restoration projects. You will learn at college one day per week, on the job, working on your own and/or as part of a team, with ongoing support from your own personal skills coach. The apprenticeship usually takes two and a half years to complete. You will need to have a suitable role before you start but we can support you to find one if necessary.
Entry Requirements
These vary from employer to employer. The typical requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or higher.

Your apprenticeship is delivered one day per week in college and in the workplace, with teaching delivered through online resources and on a 1-2-1 basis by your skills coach and employer.
