Course Overview

Improve your studio photography and Photoshop skills. This six-week intensive course is ideal for owners of small businesses, ebay shops and websites who want to know how to produce high quality, professional-looking images. Alternatively, you may have completed an introductory course in photography and want to improve your skills and knowledge further.  
You will learn how to light and capture professional still life sets, pack shots in the studio and edit images to a high standard in Photoshop. You will spend an equal amount of time in our amazing studio and specialised computer room to develop a range of technical, creative and digital skills.  

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for practitioners who already have a basic level of expertise and experience in photography, or for anyone who has completed one of our introductory courses.  
It is preferable you own a digital SLR camera, however all equipment needed to complete the course will be provided.  

Please note: this is not a course for absolute beginners.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Our expert tutors use a range of methods to cater for different learning styles. A combination of practical and theoretical instruction is delivered in class in our specialised studios and computer room.  

The course will run on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm for six weeks in Palatine Building at the University Centre. We have September and January starts, but please contact for specific dates, as these can change slightly from year to year.
