Course Overview

Advance your career in management with the Foundation Degree in Business Management (Leadership). This programme develops an excellent range of management and leadership skills with which to begin your management career. A 96-hour work placement also provides opportunities for you to apply theory to workplace practice. This qualification was developed alongside employers and provides highly sought after Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation via the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. You will also have the opportunity to become a Chartered Manager. Many students progress to one of our BA (Hons) Management top-up programmes and then to exciting careers with local and national employers.

Entry Requirements

You will need a minimum of 80 UCAS points (excluding Functional Skills) in an appropriate discipline.

We will also consider applications from those with relevant work/voluntary experience instead of formal qualifications, on an individual basis.

Teaching and learning methods incorporate problem-based learning, lectures, seminars, webinars, work-based learning and other interactive activities.

The focus is on supporting you to become an independent researcher, self-starter and lifelong learner with a high degree of employability. Our subject specialists will encourage you to read widely around your subject, providing guidance and expertise where needed.

Each week you will have 6 hours’ class-based sessions, 6 hours’ blended (online) delivery and 10 hours’ independent study.
