Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Level 4

The Level 4 qualification is aimed at NVQ/QCF assessors who would like to become Internal Quality Assurers.
An Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) is the person who supports and works with a team of Assessors to sample and quality assure work produced, develop assessment procedures and facilitate good practice.
The expected duration is 6-12 months.
There are no formal entry requirements.
An informal chat with a tutor will be required prior to your enrolment.
Teaching and Learning Methods
- attend seminar sessions at College, where possible (usually 4 or 5 sessions, one per month, twilight or evening class)
- attend ongoing 1-2-1 meetings/observations with your tutor/assessor, throughout the whole period of study, usually monthly
- build a portfolio of evidence (OneFile eportfolio) to meet the standards which will consist of work-based & classroom based evidence and observations.
You will be supported in this by a Skills Coach from the Apprenticeships team.
Additional learning support is available if required.
All staff involved in the delivery of business to business courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. Our teaching staff are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
