Course Overview

This professional development qualification provides essential knowledge and skills to anyone wanting to actively support individuals with learning disabilities.

The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities is delivered as a 10-week programme, with 4.5 hours a week at college.

The qualification is suitable for people who come into contact with individuals with learning disabilities as part of their job.

This qualification will not only support employment opportunities, but also the possibility of progressing on to other courses such as the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties.

This course is ideal for those already working or volunteering in the relevant sector, to support their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). No previous training or experience is required for this programme but you must be at least 19.

During your 10 sessions (delivered term-time only) there will be tutor delivery, question and answer, discussion, group work tasks and individual tasks.
