Advance your career in the health or social care sector by learning about infection prevention and control. Whether you are a qualified professional or you are just embarking on a health or social care career, this nationally-recognised Level 2 Certificate provides specialist knowledge about this important area of practice. You will discover the causes of infections in healthcare settings and learn about the methods used to prevent and control the spread of infection. The course provides evidence-based competency to support your continuing professional development. It also facilities progression to further study and/or to related specialist roles.
You don't need any training or experience to do this course however, ideally, you will be 19 or over.

Teaching and Learning Methods
This one-day course is available on the following dates:
- Friday 9 February 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 9 March 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 20 April 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
- Friday 11 May 2018 - 9.30am-4.30pm
The course will feature group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided.
You will then have a period of six weeks in which to produce a small portfolio of work to demonstrate your knowledge of the themes covered on the course.
